Confession time. I love tattoos (shocker!) and I love tattoo themed stuff. What kind of “stuff”? Apparel, sure. I don’t know at what age I will stop being attracted to clothing that has skulls and roses and script all over it but it hasn’t happened yet. I am also a sucker for old school tattoo flash printed on just about anything. I don’t have any old school ink on my skin but I love the look of the old-fashioned anchors, mermaids, panthers and pin-ups on just about everything else.
I happened across a small Seattle-based company a few years back that helped me go beyond the skull covered t-shirts and up my tattoo style game for my home – Sin In Linen. I started off small with a tattoo themed oven mitt and dish towel set, then I branched out into a jet black shower curtain with old school flash in eye-popping colors and recently I’ve moved into bedding. My tattoo addiction knows no bounds.
The cool thing about Sin In Linen and their unique products is you get to ink up without having to make the heavy commitment. Throw some tattoo themed items around your home and enjoy the look – no needles required. Plus they are always bringing in new items and they are reasonably priced so you can indulge in more than one sheet set or shower curtain. They also carry a variety of items for the home and have a slew of different and interesting themes including zebra stripes, pin ups and fancy damask.The items I bought years back have held up well and survived much use and abuse and they still look great.
Full disclosure; Sin In Linen graciously sent me an apron and a set of pillowcases to review after I basically begged them to partner with me so technically this is a “sponsored post” however this is a company I was grooving on way before I started my little blog and I would have got round to covering them anyways as I like tattoo style and they are super stylish. Here is a little more info about them directly from the source;
“Based in Seattle, Sin in Linen was founded by Sandy Glaze and has been providing soft goods with hardcore style since 2004. An independent manufacturer of out-of-the-ordinary household goods with designs that encourage women to express themselves through style that is tough and bold, while still being sexy and feminine. Sin in Linen ignites passion in the home with exciting designs inspired by retro aesthetic, pinups, tattoos and rock ‘n roll.
Sandy collaborates with artists and manufacturers around the world to produce stylish home textiles on high-quality ethically produced cotton. The collections are printed on 300 thread count, 100% cotton and are machine-washable.”
Now on to business…here is the adorable apron that when worn makes you look like a sassy and stylish cook who knows what she is doing
Seriously – how cute is the thing! And it’s cotton so it’s nice and soft. I have test-driven it twice while making cookies and it performed beautifully.
I also received two pillowcases in this classy henna style that I am really loving.
I really like the design and the cases are soft and comfortable. The only problem is now I want to entire set to go with it…you know…”if you give a mouse a cookie…”
this is what I imagine I would look like if I had the whole sheet set…and a sweet belly dancing outfit….and maybe a cookie
Here are a few more things on my wish list and just a small sample of what Sin In Linen offers;
Kraken Shower Curtain ( so I can yell “Release the Kraken!!” everytime I come out of the bath.
Skeleton Tea Towels tea optional – I’m thinking of ways I can wear these – any ideas?
I feel cooler just looking at this stuff. And it says on their website that apparel is coming soon….perhaps another skull t-shirt for my collection?
