I know summer has barely begun but if you like your music heavy and loud and your festivals thrashing and crazy then it’s time to get your tickets to AFTERSHOCK 2016.
AFTERSHOCK is a festival for fans of seriously heavy music and serious party lovers alike. AFTERSHOCK 2016 features a lineup that made my forty something year old husband say “Holy. Shit.” and my teenage daughter demand to go this year as well. The bands performing cross a wide range of genres and taste and the whole family will find something to bang their heads to. This is no kiddy festival aimed towards tweens or a mellow feel goodery fest by a river – this is Heavy Music for Music Lovers of all ages.
This year AFTERSHOCK returns to Discovery Park conveniently located near downtown Sacramento. As always AFTERSHOCK has more to offer than just great bands. The Jack Daniels Experience makes a return with it’s fine whiskey tasting, Keep Golf Metal has a Rock N Roll 9 hole putt putt course and crowd favorite The Music Experience is the place where fans can become rock stars and play with professional equipment to learn how the magic happens.
Also on board is an impressive array of top notch food trucks
that have everything a hungry festival goer can desire to munch on. Rounding all this out is a number of charitable works hosted by AFTERSHOCK 2016 including Take Me Home animal adoption, Dyin 2 Live a dream program for those with cancer and
a social media awareness campaign about water and boating safety. All of these elements add up to a wicked good time for the family while you do a bit of good for the community – a double win.
